Besides professional treatment and quality service, good relationships between you and our staff greatly influence your well-being. In our pursuit of ensuring you have a positive dental experience, we have outlined the responsibilities and duties that are important for our employees and our patients to agree upon. We kindly ask you to take 3 minutes to read the following in peace. The Praprotnik dentistry team operates based on the following principles: Confidentiality and informed consent: in line with the duty to provide information, the therapist informs the patient about the proposed treatment plan, including risks, benefits, and treatment alternatives. The patient is given the opportunity to ask questions and confirm the proposed plan before any form of treatment begins. After the procedure, the patient is orally informed of possible changes or complications and provided with instructions and recommendations for further care. In the case of major procedures, the patient also receives instructions in written form. Economy and efficiency: the therapist explains to the patient how the treatment will proceed, including the time and financial framework. The time frame is determined by the therapist to align with professional guidelines, considering the expected healing time and technical procedures for making prosthetic replacements. The principle of economy takes into account the realistic financial framework formed based on the patient's expectations, general health condition, age, biological state of individual teeth, and specific factors related to the bite or habits. This framework prevents the exploitation of the patient's lack of expertise and excessive dental treatment. Professional and ethical integrity: the therapist takes responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of the treatment performed. The dental team ensures that all procedures are carried out in a safe and ethical manner and in accordance with professional principles. The patient is aware of the importance of: Responsibility for their own health: which involves the awareness that much can be done for one's own health through daily habits that promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Regular oral hygiene (at least twice a day) and regular visits to the dentist (at least once a year) for early detection of possible dental problems are crucial. Regular visits to the oral hygienist, in accordance with the dentist's instructions, are also important. General and oral health are closely related, so information about your overall health is crucial for planning dental and oral treatment. Responsibility towards Praprotnik dentistry: to ensure work organization and responsibility to patients, who may get an appointment in case of your absence, we expect you to inform us as soon as possible in case of your absence. It is also important to provide accurate information about your health status and medications you are taking in questionnaires and in communication with our staff. This ensures enabling a better, and above all, safer treatment process. Post-treatment care: for the success of treatment, it is important for the patient to consistently follow all oral and written instructions received from the healthcare staff after procedures. It is also important for the patient to contact us in case of urgent situations*. Fundamental support for treatment is provided by regular and thorough daily oral hygiene. Body response: in addition to the therapist's professionally performed work, the success of treatment depends on how the patient's body responds to treatment. This can be influenced by the patient's overall health, as well as the patient's behavior immediately before, after, and during treatment. Tolerance, nonviolent communication and behavior: at Praprotnik dentistry, we maintain zero tolerance for violent verbal and nonverbal communication. We want to have sincere relationships with our patients, so we make an effort and also expect respectful communication, even in stressful situations. *What are the emergency conditions in dentistry?
